Medical Clinic

The East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP) is a student-run, physician-supervised clinic that provides primary and ancillary care services to uninsured residents of East Harlem. Patients are seen by a team composed of one Senior Clinician (3rd or 4th year medical student), one Junior Clinician (1st or 2nd year medical student), and a Mount Sinai Medical Center Attending.

EHHOP offers all services without cost to any patient:

  • Primary and preventive care

  • Non-emergency urgent care

  • Health education and awareness

  • Patient advocacy

  • Social Work counseling

  • Prescribed medications

  • Laboratory testing

  • Sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing

  • Voluntary HIV/AIDS testing and counseling

  • Referrals for specialty care and imaging

  • Nutrition counseling

  • Screening for Medicaid and other public benefit programs

  • Benefit screening to help identify relevant community resources

  • Legal counseling

  • In-clinic imaging (EKG, echocardiogram, liver fibroscan)

  • Vaccines (annual flu, MMRV, pneumonia, tetanus)
